J Dorama: Sunao Ni Narenakute (Hard To Say I Love You)

So how to I give my review without spoiling it for those who haven’t seen it yet? O.o I guess I’ll just have to talk vaguely about the details of this drama. Anyway, Sunao Ni Narenakute is a Japanese drama that revolves around five people who become acquainted on the social networking site Twitter. Yes, twitter >:)

The characters who go by their usernames Haru, Nakaji, Peach, Linda and Doctor each unique and significant roles in the drama. But I can say that the major characters were Nakaji and Haru. The plot is quite unique from other dramas since it all starts through Twitter. It touches the subject of friendship, love, dreams and gayness (lol). The actors in this drama are Eita (Nakaji), Juri Ueno (Haru), Jaejoong (Doctor), Megumi Seki (Peach) and Tetsuji Tamayama (Linda). Personally I think that it’s a good cast, apart from all of them being good-looking, they also managed to portray their characters well.

It is an 11-episode drama and is fast-paced so I didn’t get bored watching it. The minor characters were also effective in meddling with the storyline. The love story was kind of weird for me. 3 out of 5 of the main characters became attracted to one person, haha. (I mean yeah Eita is very appealing >:)) Jaejoong’s character frustrated me a lot although his character was good. Tamayama’s made me sad and I thought Seki was pretty and I expected her character to be a bish but that really wasn’t the case at all. Ueno’s character is the good, confused and way too nice one but somehow in the end she manages to stand up for herself.

I love how it also shows that the characters were common and realistic. It showed that they were people who were struggling to achieve something in their lives and how they chased after it towards the end.

In the last part I thought I was going to be disappointed because of something, luckily I wasn’t although the ending was a bit abrupt and I didn’t get to find out what happens to the love story >.< And whatever happened to Nakaji’s father and Haru’s mother? It seemed like they were put in a situation that was supposed to complicate Nakaji and Haru’s relationship but towards the end it didn’t happen and they weren’t affacted at all. My mind just goes…What was that all about? That is the negative thing about this drama. Other than that it’s all positive XDD

I’d love to talk about the story and each character but that would spoil everything for those who want to see it so I won’t =.= Anyway, I do recommend this drama a lot.

I don’t wanna be in love.. ALONE ~

Miss A did it.. once again <3 It’s a single, yeah? For Kim Yuna’s Kiss and Tell Cry ice skating concert. This is my favorite song from miss A so far ;)

This trendy pop song was produced by a famous American producer named Fuego, who previously composed Jasun DeRulo’s 2009 Billboard hit, “Watcha Say.” The song was written by Ursula Yancyof Rihanna’s “Skin“,

- Allkpop

Album Cover - Is this VVIP the 2nd? Lol, kidding… I know it’s a lame dumb joke, please excuse my sense of humor (Do I even have one?). It’s kinda like vvip part 2, it only has text with glitters. It really blends with the title track, I like it :)

Music video - It’s not that usual kind of music video, it’s kinda of a “behind-the-scenes” / footage type from Kim Yuna’s ice skating show. They’ve gotten prettier, especially Jia <3 She’s my bias in miss a, lol

Audio - it’s so refreshing to hear <3 so obviously, it’s a song where the girl is so confused about a guy if he loves her back, I don’t wanna be in love, alone. My favorite part of the song is “If iz’an illusion I need you to tell…. me now, No room for confu’zn I need you to let…. it out” LMAO I love their accents here. THEIR ENGLISH IS SO JJANG.

Acoustic girl group in the Korean music scene, finally!

I am still not over the fact that I am older than them. The three of us (me and Spin, and EL) are all ‘96-ers, but I’m prolly older because my birthday is during the second day of the year. Why hire such young people and remove the joy of youth from them? Is this trend even right? Is it even humane? No, I’m particular that it is not.

I am not yet able to figure it out myself whether their performances were lip-synced or not—because it sounded too good to be live. Otherwise, maybe they are just so damn good. I like their voices, really. What makes the debut performances good was the fact that it is not perfect (I learned a lot on what to appreciate through Arashi, who’s recordings are minimally enhanced only, and with that, they were able to showcase a lot of their true talent and gain millions of fans across Asia and the world) There’s this “youth” sound to it (hello, they’re just 14/15).

What bothers me now is the fact that they might be overwhelmed with the 1:n battle between acoustic and “autotune”. It can only be a head or a tail: either they succeed and have a name in the industry OR be pushed aside. We’ll get to that in their next single.

(Will find time to review Chu Chu later. This week has been such a busy week for me, summer review classes + other errands = missing out a lot in the internet world)

S-I-S-T-A-R ★ Oh Ma Boy..

It’s a total no-no for their debut track, ‘Push Push’ - it’s too girly, even for that concept was blah, so irritating. I loved them now since ‘Shady Girl’ :) and when ‘How Dare You’ was released, I loved them even more. Hello, Sistar19 <3 - sub unit with Hyorin and my favorite member, Bora! :) Brave Brothers helped them with ‘Ma Boy’, a round of applause to Brave Brothers! They did it again!

Album cover - It’s good, but not good enough. Too childish girly for Sistar19. I think it’s better with a dark background, which is more mature-like, since it’s sistar’19’, 19 is the legal age in Korea right? LOL I really don’t know why is it 19.

Music video - I don’t like it either O_O All they did was dancing, acting sexy/cute, It’s better if there was a story line or something. Oh wait, I like how they’re dancing with chairs <3 And that worm wave during chorus, bwahahaha, worm-wave, I don’t know how to call it, some dance steps reminded me of 2NE1’s Clap Your Hands moves. I DON’T LIKE BORA’S HAIR HERE, just saying :)

Audio - Totally RnB. I like it at first, but because I’m raping the replay button, I love it now <3 I just don’t like the “May boyy..” part XD The first time I heard Bora singing (since she usually raps on their previous singles), and heard Hyorin rapping. She was rapping right? ‘Ma boy”s intro, yes it was her.

Others - I think it’s a bit too soon for them to have a sub unit already? But who cares, whenever they’re ready. Their live performances are jjang, but they can do better, more charisma… maybe?

Dr. Dr Feel Goooood~ XD

So I wasn’t planning on paying attention to this new rookie group called “Rania”, but then out of nowhere an article came out which created buzz especially among YG elitists like moi, haha. It was an article about member Jooyi who rejected a casting offer from YG Entertainment as a potential member of 2ne1. Automatically I thought “Oh this girl made such a huge mistake.” >.< But after reading the whole article I figured she wouldn’t have fit in 2ne1’s concept anyway seeing now that she’s debuted in Rania. It really piqued my interest so I decided to check em out. And here’s what I think…

Image/Concept/Background: I’ve noticed that since the start of 2010 after BEG came out with the “adult idol” concept, a lot of groups have followed in their footsteps. Now it’s 2011 and the girl group era has gotten fiercer over time. Rookie group Rania is no different. They came out with a fierce, provocative image as well. They are under DR Music >apparently I don’t know about that agency aside from the fact that they produced Baby VOX< and their single Dr. Feel Good was produced by Teddy Riley who has worked with big name singers such as Michael Jackson. I think they’re very fortunate to be handled by such a producer. In any case it’s quite obvious they are directed towards the American music scene as well. In Korea, they could be similar to Brown Eyed Girls but in America they remind me of PCD XD

Music/Sound/Lyrics: Now the most important thing is the music. In my opinion, I had to listen to it twice to appreciate the song. Lyric-wise it screams provocative and controversy for the kpop scene, knowing that these days music programs have been strict with lyrics and choreography. However vocal-wise, they can actually SING which is such a relief >if ya know what I mean :)< Seeing MV and listening to the studio version of the song isn’t enough to assume they can sing so I watched their debut stage as well and I wasn’t disappointed. I was expecting a shaky-voice-crack-somewhere type of thing but they did really well. Of course I can’t blame them if something did happen. It was their debut stage after all. Sound-wise the song is kinda addicting and it goes with the trend nowadays.

Choreography: Moving on to choreography… First whether it be girl or boy group I always observe synchronization. Well this 7 member group was in-sync during their performance although they could make it more in-sync, still. The sexy choreography was executed well and you know what? I think that they can dance as well. They look like they are flexible and can handle difficult choreography. Good for them haha.

As a whole, I think they have a future in the music industry. They can stick to they’re image since they carry it well and they don’t look desperate which is quite laughable, honestly. They have a good producer to back them up. I hope that they can maintain what they started. And please, I do not want to see them come out with a cutesy image next time >.<

Nan ejjeoragooooooo oh oh ~

Since I’m a Seungri biased I’m going to take over this one <3 Ahihihi ~ I bought this album the week after its release :) Thanks topphilippines.org for making this possible, ahahay. [OMG my second review, hehe]

The album cover; jacket - See that picture above? Well it ain’t that shiny, LMAO. I was so excited to get home from school ‘coz I was expecting a package, this vvip album <3 It also comes with a huge poster with seungri’s precious adorable panda-like face, but.. I.. destroyed it? :S I was figuring on how to open it ‘coz it comes with a tube I got so excited I used plies, yes plies, to open the end of the tube, which it got damaged in the end and the only way to open it is to.. twist. Excuse me.. [sdfghbsdauyhbdasuhdbasdjqa!!] okay.

This album cover is covered with a velvet.. wrapper? lmao I don’t know how to explain this. So yea it gives a cool velvet feel. The V is embossed, made of plastic, with lots of lots of lots of glitters inside, comes with variety colors too! I got silver by the way, which is the shiniest I think, I could get blind. It also comes with a mini photobook, very thick pages. Uhh, a seungri card ^o^

The music video(s) - YG released two music videos: VVIP & What Can I Do. I like VVIP mv more, it’s fun to watch, it has this alice-in-wonderland feel, it also has variety colors, it satisfies my eye sight :D Unlike What Can I Do, uhh, it’s not fun to watch, it has no feel LOL just same colors.

The audio(s): I definitely love all the songs, not because I’m a biased XD But I recommend White Love the best. <3 That ‘I know’ song that IU was featured is cute, their voices perfeclty blends :) Hmm, what else? OMG I ALMOST FORGOT. The ‘Outro’ kills me all the time! “Let’s fly…. just you and I ♥”

Others: Did you know? Seungri only had a week, A WEEK, to finish his album? ;) That’s how hard-working he is. He really improved a lot, from strong baby to sexy back <3 that’s how they said, teehee, lmao that sounded wrong.

Heo Young Saeng releases ‘Let It Go’ teaser

First and foremost, I am a little nervous about my ex-husband doing a dance track. Really. His soft yet powerful vocals suits ballads the best. I’ve also realized that SS501 members are consecutively releasing their solos like they’re still under one agency. Who’s next? Kim Kyu Jong? Hyung Joong?

I know Young Saeng has been trying his best to show us his manly, bad boy side. In my opinion, he isn’t someone who can become like that. He can become manly, but never a bad boy. His face and voice can never let that happen.

Dang, he is the backbone of all SS501 songs. He is the legit voice of SS501, lolwhut. I really expect a lot from him. I even expect ballads with ‘Nameless Memories’ feel. Why am I feeling nervous about this? (Maybe because he is my first KPop husband and I am very worried about his welfare LOL)

I bid Prince Otter all the luck in the world—and he should take care of his hand. What a stubborn man.

It’s okay baby, please don’t cry :3

I’m still a noob on writing these kind of stuffs, forgive me.

It’s been awhile since she released a single eh? Did you miss Park Bom’s You and I then? I did miss it D; Uhh, okay, I don’t know what to say now, ahehe.

So let’s talk about it one by one, let’s get in with the details.

The album cover - This album cover is pretty simple, looks like she’s in a graveyard or something XD LOL. Uhh, simple smoke effects. And that bokeh thingy are just like photoshop brushes, I think I even have them. I prefer this album cover than You and I’s.

The music video - Here’s how it goes. I was so excited when yg announced he’ll later release the mv by 00:00AM, on that day at least. I’m thinking it will be as good or better, as You and I’s. Okay, 00:00’s here. “WHAT AM I WATCHING?” I was reaaally, really, really? really disappointed. I EXPECTED SO MUCH. I didn’t know it could suck like this. I didn’t understand the story (was there a story?) at first.

Is it just me? Or she really look different with this one? Her face was so different I tell ya, did she lost weight again? Hul~ I WANT CHUBBY BOM MORE. She should eat more corn, lol.

The audio - It took me 3 replays to love it. I like her voice more on You and I. This is kind of stiff-er.

Others: By the way, did you heard her sing it live?! Acoustic version though. It doesn’t sound live, in a good way, I can’t believe it’s her actual voice! O.O Haha kiddin, I’m used to it that she’s so professional. Here’s the link

P.S - She cried as soon as she knew that her single topped # 1 <3
